INK SUSPENSION

Charcoal on paper, drawing capturing the phenomenon of suspension of ink in water

Rhino drawing made with 100 lines analyzing the spatial movement of ink over time

Rhino drawing with 1000 lines

Animation capturing the coexistent flow and suspension of ink in the water

Wood and elastic thread

1/8” round dowels, elastic thread is used to recreate the condition of the ink and water at a singular moment of suspension in 12”x12”x12” frames. Models explored the set of dynamic events that happen simultaneously diffusion, suspension, extraction and accumulation.

Self-supporting frame models further exploring the phenomenon by means of spatial movement

Bristol paper and elastic thread

Created a language to capture the spatial dynamism of ink, out of bristol modulars that allow structural support and variety of directional properties within its unity.
